Archetype -S

The Archetype -S program is designed to put young adults in a work environment that would provide them with real world experience in select industries. Archetype -S will partner select students with a participating company executive/owner as a personal assistant, “shadow”, for a week. The student will assist with internal company functions as well as daily assigned tasks. This will better help to establish project development skills, time management practices and networking savvy. At the beginning of the“shadow” period, each student will be equip with a: cellular phone, daily planner and briefcase in order to maximize networking capability and accomplish task efficiency. At the end of the one week “shadow” period, each participating student will be required to develop a presentation highlighting their experience.

Out of the Box - “Portable Workshops”

In order to facilitate media workshops we would like to be able to provide a work environment conducive to learning and creativity. With a program geared toward developing proficient students in a fast paced world of media, the workshops will encompass video editing, image editing and creative composition, much of which is not formally introduced typically until college undergrad. With programs such as the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Apple’s Final Cut Studio, Apple’s iLife and the potential to expand to other programs, students will be provided the space for development as well as the means for creativity and refinement. These interactive and portable workshops are “key” to developing supplemental tools to motivate students. In broadening their skill levels and scope of opportunity, through the introduction of industry standard software application and instruction, we intend to provide the students with more choices in regards to goal setting.

[M.E.U.] Mobile Enrichment Units

In order to develop a more appealing image around community enhancement, the mobile enrichment units (M.E.U) have been developed as a tool to answer to this need and the need of facilitating the mobile functions for Masscomm. Young adults between the ages of 13-24 are being marketed to at extremely high rate. Many of the perpetuated images of wealth, success and prestige have been embodied into physical symbols such as car, money, clothes, etc. With motor vehicles being one of the symbols of success in popular culture, we feel that the youth would benefit from formulating a new image around the organizations that are trying to further the community enrichment agenda. We believe that the M.E.U will bring about commercial appeal to social advancement. A vehicle purposed to promote and establish the Masscomm brand as well as facilitating the advertisement for the supporting sponsors.(logo’s, auto body wrap, etc.) The M.E.U’s will carry laptop workshop, print and promotional materials that would be used to create social awareness and educational mobility. The Masscomm M.E.U’s will also act as mobile billboards at all events and activities promoted by or in association with Masscomm.
