The VIP Program is a voter awareness campaign that targets young, potential voters, through a series of interactive and entertaining events that will create a platform for the voter information. The VIP program is designed to increase the youth’s participation and interest, ranges ages from 14-25, in the political process while establishing the tone for a more proactive youth and community.
In order to accomplish the mission, Masscomm in partnership with the City of Riverdale developed 3 concert events that will contain entertainment elements and the platform that will enable the city to disseminate informative material about voter participation. The campaign will be established by the custom designed “VIP” card. The card will be a custom designed flyer that will highlight discounts with Galaxy Cinemas and free admission to the concert events. The V.I.P passes will also reinforce the message of voter awareness and participation.
The V.I.P “kick off” will start on Friday, September 14, with performances by Jody Breeze, Slim of 112, Lex Dirty, Mouthpiece and more, at the Travon Wilson Park at 5pm.

Hello all! If you have not heard by now; the Virginia Gray Recreation Center of Clayton County in association with Masscomm and K.O.P.E, sponsored a 3 on 3 basketball tournament called In the Paint ‘07. The event was a huge success. We had a slam dunk contest, a skills competition, and of course lots of basketball. Our purpose was to bring everyone, from all walks of life together to a common ground, or should I say court. Nonetheless, the event was a huge success, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
We would like to send a special shout-out to our 14-17 2nd place finalist “College Park Eagles” and our 14-17 Champions, “Banneker.” We would also like to acknowledge our 18-24 2nd place finalist “The Mumins” and our 18-24 Champions, “It Don’t Matter,” who proved once and for all that, 5 hours of non-stop basketball doesn’t even phase real ballers. We hope that the tournament was a fun experience for everyone, and whether you attended as a participant or as a spectator, please fill out our survey, so that we can make the tournament even better next year, and for the years to come. Again thank you all for attending and we look forward to seeing you all REAL soon!
If you would like to view photos from the event click here.
Fill out our In The Paint ‘07 survey.
